How do I fit a normal light pendant?? ?

I am removing a chandelier and theres lots of wires in junction boxes.

  1. note them down before removing the chandelier , usually 2 reds together , two blacks , then it nees to be noted which is the baby on its own coming back from the switch . you gotta get ‘em right .

  2. The wires you need to concerned with are the ones connected to the chandelier. Those are the ones you’ll connect the new light fixture to. The other ones should be “run through” or switch legs. Leave those alone as if you undo those it might take a long time or the services of an electrician to put them back.

  3. All these cables and terminals can be very confusing, unless you really know what you are doing. For example, a wire which is black or blue, which would normally indicate that it is a neutral, may actually carry the the live back from the switch when it is turned on.

    Best to find someone who knows what they are doing and can identify all these connections.
