How to intall lighting on the ceiling without wires in the wall?

we’re moving to an apartment and the living room has no lighting, is there anything we can use besides floor lamps that doesn’t need installing??

You could look for a battery powered ceiling fixture…..Other than that, I can’t think of anything other than a lamp.

    Most people use table or floor lamps. Overhead lighting is not used except for dining rooms or kitchens unless one wires for chandeliers. You can buy a chandelier with a chain kit however. Then all your would need is an outlet and wall and ceiling hooks to hang the chandelier. But most overhead lighting without dimmers is too harsh and doesn’t create ambiance in a room.

    You can use wire enclosures that stick on the wall and go all the way up to the ceiling and its center. This way you don’t need to do any wiring inside the wall.

    You can use hanging lamps that plug into a wall outlet. Having a floor lamp(torchiere is the kind you want) or a clip-on lamp that aims light at the ceiling can give the effect of light coming from the ceiling and is my favourite way to light a room
