Living room remodel 5: Ceiling light placement

I want 8 lights in the room, so I measured the room, mapped it out on graph paper and split the room evenly into 8 sections. Each of the 8 sections should have a light in the middle.
I took the measurements and then placed strings across the room – 2 horizontally and 4 vertically. Where each string intersects is where the lights can be placed.
