How do I install a new light in a home with ceiling cable heat?

We have a very dark huge family room and would like to install a ceiling light. However we have ceiling cable heat. How do you locate the wires so you don’t cut thru them?

Get one of those "inductive" voltage testers.
Or, use track lighting.

    You can’t relocate those wires, they are cut into the drywall. You’ll need to either lose the ceiling heat or go with wall sconces.
