Can you use a ceiling fan light without the fan?

I love this light that goes to a old ceiling fan. The fan blade broke and I kept the light part.

Can it be put up like a normal ceiling light?

would depend on how it is attached. if it attaches to the fan probably not, as you would have nowhere to mount it.

if you can find a way to mount it, it would be just like any other light.

you could( this is a guy thinking, we always find easier way outs. even if i looks funny) install the fan without the blades. it will all mount and work. tell people it is part of the heating vents, or something.

  1. It should work. But I would test it out before I went to the trouble of putting it up.
